The problem of Sat Phones is well known by governments and they have two choices to address this problem
Formally ask the sat phone provider for data at a specific time and place, or use systems to independently geolocate and monitor this traffic. Horizon’s hardware and data solutions are used for the latter solution.
Aircraft carrying FlyingFish™ were able to geolocate refugees, smugglers, and poachers’ Sat Phone and communications traffic, and allowed law enforcement and international entities to apprehend and/or rescue these individuals.
Our BlackFish™ solution can be installed on manned and unmanned aircraft to immediately geolocate and monitor communications used in illegal activities over a wide area.
